Support Us

Volunteer

The Food Sharing Project relies on the time and talents of many volunteers to succeed in getting nutritious food to hungry students.

Volunteer opportunities at The Food Sharing Project:

Leadership Team

Becoming a member on our Board of Directors is a great way to use your leadership skills and passion to support our work. Contact the office to find out more.

Committee Volunteer

From time to time, we are looking for volunteers to help with short-term projects as a committee member. Send us a note if you are looking for a way to help out and have specific skills to offer.

Warehouse Volunteer

On Monday and Wednesday mornings, our team of volunteers packs over 450 boxes of food to be delivered to schools. If you would like to join our roster of volunteers packing boxes in a collegial, active and fun atmosphere, and can commit to a regular schedule (like every other Monday), let us know.

IN-SCHOOL NUTRITION PROGRAM VOLUNTEER

School staff members volunteer their time to plan and deliver nutrition programs in schools. Volunteers who want to support school staff and make a direct impact are trained and placed by The Food Sharing Project in schools who would most benefit.

KITCHEN VOLUNTEER

If you love to be in the kitchen, volunteer to be one of our food preparation helpers. We operate out of several commercial kitchens and prepare hundreds of fresh, healthy lunches each day. We will provide you with the training you need to help us efficiently feed hungry kids at school everyday though our Lunch Is Ready! meal delivery program.
